Once you’ve created a file collection and uploaded files, the next step is to assign privileges to the users who should have access to those files. This ensures that only authorised individuals can view or manage the content within the collection.
It is important to know that 4 different roles can be assigned to users of a file collection:
- User: Can use files within this collection when creating content.
- Writer: A writer can change the introduction page (if available) and set the status of a file to "ready".
- Editor: An editor can upload, remove or change files, and set the status to "approved".
- Manager: A manager can change the properties of the collection and assign privileges to other users.
