Tangelo features its own referencing system, accessible via the 'References' drop-down in the 'Insert Menu'.
This allows you to add references to your content based on the current configuration.
The full range of options available in the 'References' drop-down includes:
- Hyperlink
- Section
- File
- Data source field
- Term from glossary

Hyperlinks
Section
Section references (often called section links) can be used in Tangelo to created links to sections that are automatically updated if the section changes or moves. Page numbers can be added also. There are some different properties that a section reference can use.
File (optional)
Next to complete tables, key figures and other metrics can be also linked in the content. An Excel file with all the information (that is uploaded as a data source), can be used to fetch this data and link it to the document. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to achieve that.
