Usually, when you want to copy text you can select it and use copy (CTRL-C) / cut (CTRL-X) and paste (CTRL-V).
- Please note for Mac: copy (Command-X) / paste (Command-C and paste (Command-V)
But sometimes you want to copy a specific component and all included text (special elements like tables, highlight blocks, KPI blocks etc.) in the Tangelo editor.
In those cases you can use the following steps to copy and paste this element in one go.
- Go to the content you want to copy
- Click on the element (table in this case) you want to copy (1) and click the element name in the navigation path below - see (2), the element will turn yellow:
- Press CTRL-C (or CTRL-V) on your keyboard
- Go to to document and section where the content needs to be copied to
- Place the cursor on the position where the content needs to be copied
- First, create a new empty special element of the same kind:
- Place the cursor in the newly created empty element and click the element name in the navigation path below (same as step 2 above)
- Press CTRL-V and the special element content will be visible
- After checking the content is correct you can go back to the original content, select the element and remove it, using the 'Remove' option in the navigation path:
