To access the User management screen, while logged into Tangelo, click on the hamburger menu located in the top right corner.

Next, select User management from the dropdown menu.

Please note that if you don’t see this option, it means you’re not an administrator. In such cases, you should contact your administrator or key user for assistance.

If you have multiple users, simply fill in the email addresses for each user on a separate line. Additionally, include the group memberships (if any) and the appropriate profile type for each user:

  • Standard
  • Reviewer
  • Administrator

As soon as you click the plus button, users will be added to Tangelo, and an activation email will be sent to the user involved. The user’s account will display a clock icon behind their name in the user list until they activate the account using the provided mail link.

Next to that, the Tangelo Support Desk will initiate two-factor authentication (2FA) for the newly created user account. A 2FA activation email with detailed instructions will be sent to the user’s email address.

Please be informed that this process is manual and will only be performed during business hours.

Manage single user

As soon as you click on a user, you’ll find their details in the middle of your screen:

Here, you can also see the number of available seats in the license and set the user’s status as active or inactive. You can also change their name or email address and add or remove group memberships.

When adding a user, you can only add their email address. During this step, you can also add their real name to the user.

Removing a user

For audit reasons user accounts cannot be permanently deleted in Tangelo. Instead, they can be deactivated. To deactivate a user, select the user’s profile and click on the checkmark next to their name. This action directly impacts the number of available seats within your total license.

License count

The Tangelo license count is determined by the number of active Standard and Administrator account profile types together.

The number of active Reviewer account profile types count toward a separate license contract amount.

To determine your license count status:

Standard and administrator profile type

The active standard (11) and Administrator (4) account profiles, and add the seats available (87) = 102 license seats for the standard and administrator profile type.

Reviewer profile type

The active reviewer account profiles, and add the seats available (97) = 99 license seats for the reviewer profile type.
