Breaking a table to new column or new page
To break off a table when it’s to long and flows over the page, or to create a better viewable table, you can break the table. This is a manual attribute found in the properties page. To break the table go to the row where the break is needed. Then go to the properties pane, click on the Row properties. There the attribute Start on new page can be found. Choose for Yes for a full page break. The table will continue on the next page. Or choose for Column. And the table will break and continue in the next column following the text flow. Here you can often also select two pages to create a spread with the table.
Please note that in the case of a one column page, breaking to a column will break to a new page. Also keep in mind the settings of the table width. A table with full page width can not break to a column. When the table has a break, the next part of the table will also repeat the table header.
