How to get a direct access link to any Tangelo document (sub)section

If your request is related to a specific Tangelo document and/or section it is very helpful to send one of the following items to the Tangelo Supportdesk:

  1. if you are using Tangelo 5.6 or higher use the copy link submenu option
  2. a print-screen, or
  3. direct link of the section involved to the Tangelo helpdesk

(1) copy link submenu option

Use the option below and share the link using CTRL-V (paste):

(2) screen print of document section details

(3) direct document link

When working with team member or communicating with Tangelo employees it can be very convenient to use a direct access link to any Tangelo document (sub)section.

For this you need to create a bookmark / favorite in your browser:

  1. create a (random) browser bookmark/favorite in your browser
  2. edit the link of this bookmark/favorite (via right click on the bookmark/favorite - see (2) in the screenshot below) to the following value:
    javascript:var cw="undefined"==typeof cmsFrameCw?cms.contentWindow:cmsFrameCw,url=this.window.location.href.replace(/(.*)(\/tangelo)(.*)/,"$1/tangelo?editDocument="+cw.documentId+"&node="+cw.document.getElementsByClassName("row current")[0].parentElement.parentElement.attributes["data-nodeid"].value+"&page=toc");navigator.clipboard?navigator.clipboard.writeText(url).then((()=>alert("Tangelo link copied to clipboard!")),(()=>alert(url))):alert(url);

When ready, you can click on the desired (sub) section (1) in a Tangelo document table of contents and then clicked on the browser bookmark/favorite (2). The document link is then ready to by copied and shared with others.
