The preferred way of working with document versions is to create new document versions - instead of copies. In this way the document setup will be more logical.
And most importantly track changes are recorded, after the first version of a document has been finalised/published and a second version has been created.
NB. For documents/copies without versions enabled no track changes are recorded.
How to freeze a document version and open a new version
Begin with freezing the current document version:
Then create new version of the same document:
Confirm by clicking the red +-button:
Optionally change the version label:
Done, the new version is ready for use.
