Introduction

Use this article to understand which reporting taxonomies are available in Tangelo and when they are typically used. Taxonomies define the reporting concepts, structures, and validation rules that are used when creating XBRL and iXBRL reporting packages.

Summary

Tangelo supports multiple taxonomies for financial and sustainability reporting. The available taxonomy depends on your reporting requirements and regulatory obligations.

Overview

ESEF IFRS

The ESEF IFRS taxonomy is used by listed companies preparing annual financial statements in accordance with the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF).

This taxonomy supports the tagging and filing of consolidated financial statements using iXBRL and is typically used for annual reports submitted to financial regulators within the European Union.

ESEF ESRS

The ESEF ESRS taxonomy is used for sustainability reporting under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Organizations subject to CSRD can use this taxonomy to prepare and tag sustainability disclosures in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

CoC NL / SBR

The CoC NL / SBR taxonomy is used for Dutch statutory filings submitted to the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) through Standard Business Reporting (SBR).

This taxonomy supports annual accounts prepared under Dutch reporting requirements and enables the creation of filing packages for submission through the Dutch SBR infrastructure.

Additional taxonomies

In addition to the standard taxonomies available in Tangelo, additional regional or country-specific taxonomies can be supported upon request.

If your organization has reporting requirements that are not covered by the available taxonomies, please contact your Tangelo representative to discuss the available options.

Remarks

  • The available taxonomies depend on your organization's subscription and platform configuration.
  • Taxonomies are updated periodically to reflect changes in reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
