Introduction
Use this article when you need to work with XBRL functionality in Tangelo. XBRL tagging mode provides access to features such as the taxonomy browser, XBRL properties for facts, and block tagging functionality.

After enabling XBRL tagging mode, you can search and apply taxonomy concepts, review XBRL tagging details, and manage block tags within the document.
Steps
- Open the document.
- Click the XBRL Tagging Mode button in the editor toolbar.
- Verify that XBRL tagging functionality becomes available within the editor.
- To tag a financial fact, select a line item in a table and open its properties.
- Click Choose to open the taxonomy browser.
- Search for the required taxonomy concept using the search field.
- Select the appropriate taxonomy concept and apply it to the line item.
Expected Result
XBRL tagging mode is enabled and XBRL-related functionality is available within the editor. You can access the taxonomy browser, view tagging information, assign taxonomy concepts, and apply block tags.
Remarks
- XBRL tagging mode is disabled by default to keep the editor interface clean for users who do not work with XBRL reporting.
- Enable XBRL tagging mode only when working on XBRL-related activities such as tagging, validation, or taxonomy review.
- The available taxonomy concepts and block tags depend on the taxonomy configured for the document.
