Use this article when the website option is enabled and you need the final steps to publish a document online. It covers adding a PDF download to the website and checking the online layout in PUBLIC mode, as a website visitor would see it.

Add the PDF version as a download
If the website offers a PDF download link, prepare it as follows:
Generate the PDF file of the document.
- When generation is complete, download the PDF file to your local system.
Go to the Files screen, upload the PDF file to the collection of your choice, and confirm the upload.
Link the PDF file to the document by going into the root section.
Add a Download / Report PDF item that links to the PDF file.
Select the file:
- If your website has the option to offer a Tables spreadsheet download also follow these steps:
- Download the ODS/Spreadsheet file using the Export menu option:
- Add the file to the document the same way as described in step 5 above.
Check the online layout in PUBLIC mode
Check the layout in PUBLIC mode to see the web layout exactly as a website visitor from the internet would.
- Open the document contents in Tangelo.
From the main document options, click the website preview button.
Seeing an error message?
If an error message appears when you open the preview, you first need to add a PUBLIC viewer privilege to the root section of the document.
Final preparation
Once all items are completed, freeze the document version so it can be prepared for publication.
