Creating a data source from scratch

To create or change a data source, go to the DATA SOURCES tab in Tangelo where you can also upload data files.

On the right side of the screen a table button can be found:  mceclip1.pngClicking it will display all data sources that are currently in Tangelo.

Clicking on a data source will show the privileges of the data source. Also the details can be set.
To add a data source click on the blue + button mceclip2.png on the right of the screen in Tangelo.
Now the details for the data source can be entered.

Next step is to set the rights (in Tangelo called privileges) on the data source. This is done for different parts of the document and to enable uses to use their own data sources.

Add the user names, provide a role and click on the blue plus button. After this step the data source is ready for use and a file can be uploaded to the data source.
After you are done, click on the mceclip5.png button to go back to the upload screen of Tangelo.

 

This flow can sometimes be a bit illogical when administering the data sources.

Adding access to existing data sources

You can add access to an existing data source in the Manage screen by clicking one of the data sources:

And adding the required role:

Removing a data source

This can be done in by using the hamburger menu located behind the name of the data source.

Or opening the data source and clicking the trashcan.

Please note: this can not be undone and all data will be erased that was connected to this data source in Tangelo.
After you are done, click on the mceclip5.pngbutton to go back to the upload screen of Tangelo.
