Work with image collections

Use this article to create and manage image collections in Tangelo. Images in Tangelo are stored in collections, which are used to group images for logical or management purposes. Collections can be organised by document, publication, project, or category, such as annual reports, icons, signatures, or brand assets.

The manager of a collection determines which image types are available within that collection. Images can also be moved between collections when needed.

Depending on the assigned role within a collection, users can perform different actions:

• User — Use images from the collection when creating documents.
• Editor — Upload, remove, or modify images.
• Manager — Change collection properties and manage collection access and privileges.

Collection managers can also update collection properties such as the name and description. After creating a collection, the appropriate roles and privileges should be assigned to ensure users can access, use, and manage the images as required.

Steps

1. Open the Images view in Tangelo.
2. Click Manage collections.
3. Click Create collection.
4. Enter a name for the image collection.
5. Optionally enter a description for the collection.
6. Click Save.
7. Open the created collection.
8. Assign the appropriate roles and privileges to users or user groups.
   • User — Use images from the collection in documents.
   • Editor — Upload, remove, and modify images.
   • Manager — Manage collection properties and user access.
