Introduction
Use this article when you want to prevent any further changes to a document. Freezing a document locks its content and structure, making it read-only for all users.
Summary
After following these steps, the document is frozen and can no longer be modified. A frozen document is identified by a snowflake icon next to its title.
Steps
- Open the document you want to freeze.
- Click the hamburger menu.
- Select Freeze.
- Enter a name for the version.
- Optionally add remarks for the version.
- Click the red button with the snowflake icon to freeze the document.
Expected Result
The document is frozen and can no longer be edited. A snowflake icon is displayed next to the document title.
Remarks
- The Freeze option is only available to users with the required permissions.
