Introduction

Use this article when you want to prevent any further changes to a document. Freezing a document locks its content and structure, making it read-only for all users.

Summary

After following these steps, the document is frozen and can no longer be modified. A frozen document is identified by a snowflake icon next to its title.

Steps

  1. Open the document you want to freeze.
  2. Click the hamburger menu.
  3. Select Freeze.
  4. Enter a name for the version.
  5. Optionally add remarks for the version.
  6. Click the red button with the snowflake icon to freeze the document.

Expected Result

The document is frozen and can no longer be edited. A snowflake icon is displayed next to the document title.

Remarks

  • The Freeze option is only available to users with the required permissions.
