Introduction
Use this article when you want to review changes made to a document. The history view allows you to compare document changes over a specific period, identify which sections were modified, and see who made each change and when.

After following these steps, you can filter the document history, identify modified sections, and review detailed information about changes and revisions.
Steps
- Open the document.
- Open the History view.
- Select the criteria you want to use for the comparison.
- Choose one of the available comparison options:
- Last visit
- Last 7 days
- Milestone (such as a document version)
- Custom date and time
- Optionally select a custom date range.
- Apply the selected criteria.
- Review the document outline on the left.
- Identify sections marked with blue dots, which indicate that changes have been made.
- Select a section to view detailed change information.
- Review the change overview, including what changed, who made the change, and when it occurred.
- Open the Revisions tab to review available revisions.
- Optionally use a revision as the start or end point for a comparison.
Additional navigation options
The history view includes additional navigation tools that help you work with larger documents. You can use Quick Navigation to search for sections and use the outline controls to collapse or expand the document structure. The comparison criteria can be adjusted at any time without leaving the history view.
