Introduction
Use this article when you want to connect a document to a new data source instead of reusing an existing one. Before files can be uploaded and synchronized, a data source must be created.

Steps
- Navigate to Data Sources.
- Open the data source management overview.
- Click the + button.
- Select the data source type.
- Enter a name for the data source.
- Optionally enter a description.
- Click the red + button to create the data source.
Expected Result
A new data source is created and available in the data source management overview.

Remarks
- The + button is only visible to users with the required permissions (standard or administrator user profile).
- After creating a data source, you can configure user permissions. Click on the data source from the data source management overview and go to Privileges.
