Introduction
Use this article when new data has been uploaded to a data source and needs to be applied to the linked tables in your document. When new data is available, the Synchronize button is marked with an exclamation mark.
Summary
After following these steps, the latest data from the selected data source is synchronized and all linked tables in the document are updated.
Steps
- Open the document.
- Click the Synchronize button marked with an exclamation mark.
- Review the available data sources in the synchronization pop-ip.
- Verify which data source contains new data by checking the Updated and Last synchronized timestamps.
- When needed you can deselect data sources that you don't want to synchronise.
- After reviewing the data sources, click the synchronize button the bottom left.
- Wait for the processing to be done.
Then after the progress bar turns to green:
- Review the synchronization results.
- If synchronization errors are reported, identify the affected tables.
- Verify whether the linked table, worksheet, named range, or other data source element still exists in the latest uploaded file.
- If the data is no longer required, disconnect the affected table from the data source.
- If the data should still be available, verify that the correct file was uploaded and upload an updated file if necessary.
Remarks
- Synchronization errors can occur when linked data is no longer available in the latest version of the data source.
